Blue screens because of the driver installed by Bitdefender Home Scanner
On my PC is installed Windows 7 SP1 x 86, Bitdefender Antivirus free Edition 1.0.21.1109 and Bitdefender Home Scanner 1.0.1.205. After installing BHS, the PC often crashed into the blue screen.
It was determined that the reason for this is the operation of the driver Npcap Packet Driver (NPCAP) npcap.sys.
After stopping this driver crash is not observed at all. Also, from the mini dump analysis, you can see that the driver is incompatible with the Bitdefender Antivirus free Edition bdselfpr.sys driver.
It also seems that Bitdefender Home Scanner does not allow OpenVPN 2.4.3 to work properly if it is run with user privileges.
