Bitdefender interferes with Inno Setup ?

I have moved from XP to a new windows 10 system and installed bitdefender free.

When I try to use inno setup to compile applications of mine, it crashes with an "access denied" message.

Some other antivirus programs I used before did that and I had to stop the shield temporarily.

But bitdefender free does not allow me to stop the shield temporarily, I have to uninstall using the removal tools.

Is it really bitdefender to blame though or some other issue connected with the windows 10 system ?

I 'm not sure.

If it is caused by bitdefender how to go around it ? It's an unwanted behaviour obviously.

  • Hi Kajamix,

You can disable Bitdefender's protection too, from the Protection tab in the settings.

You can also send us an email here, and provide us with a few more details about the applications you're trying to compile in order to find a fix for this.

    Hi, thanks.

I disabled from protection tab, but again inno says "file access denied".

Maybe it's not from the antivirus this time.

Maybe I must go to inno setup forums.

It's a simplhe application really, from vb6, "hello world".
