Installation error

Hi,


I'm trying to install the free suite of bitdefender. After downloading the package it says "install error" and "cannot copy installer". Clicking "ok" then takes me to the sign in window where i sign in (there should be another window with "scanning" and "installing" but that doesn't show up). The Bitdefender Agent seems to be installed and shows up in Programs and in task manager but there is no other bitdefender service and no icon in the tray. And MS Defender is still shown as the AV that is used and active. I tried the Bitdefender Uninstall Tool but that didn't make a difference.


Any suggestions would be appreciated.


I have a Samsung ATIV 7 Laptop with a clean installation of Win 8.1 x64.

    I fixed it myself. Deleting every file and foler containing the word "bitdefender" from my computer did the job.


    Hope this helps others.
