Bitdefender Free crashes Firefox 56.0 64bit on Windows 10.

I tried restarting Firefox in safe mode, disabling all plugins, factory reset, uninstalling and starting with a clean environment. In whichever scenario I tried, Firefox was running for about 2 minutes and then it became unresponsive, but hogging CPU time.

Turning off Bitdefender Free Protection Shield made all the crashes go away.

Maybe an idea to email de tech support, maybe they can fix.

Hello,

Please try creating a new profile for Firefox and see if the issue persists.

- right click on the Windows logo on the taskbar

- click on Command Prompt (Admin)

- type in the command start firefox -p and hit enter.

- click on the Create Profile button and follow the on screen instructions.
