Both Bitdefender and Windows defender run at the same time

Hi,

I am on Windows insider (slow ring) 17025 and it looks like both BD and Windows defender are running concurently.

So far I have tryed to uninstall BD 2018 using APP remove in windows and then used BD removal tool with the same result : Windows defender AV and firewall remain active.

I guess I should follow some obscures tutorials on the Internet on how to disable Windows defender, but thats far from being a clean solution.

Is this issue known by Bitdefender devs?

I don't know about the insider, but I am using the Fall Creators Update (V1709). I stopped WD from running permanently (via the registry) & then I uninstalled & re-installed BDIS. So far so good.

The "slow ring" insider version is just some step ahead from the v1709, so we have both the same issue.

So Bitdefender didn't bother (again) to check its product compatibility on a major Windows 10 version.

Look BD is hard on it, to make their product compatible to fall creators update. How many programmers you want. Thousands? Bitdefender has to pay them all, do you think they concentrate now on the NEXT windows 10? Dude, dude, dude.....they are giving their best to make their product really ready for fall creators update.

Hey propergol,

Bitdefender supports the full updates of any OS, not beta versions, the insider preview is pretty much a beta version.

Also if I remember correctly Windows notifies you that they do not ensure third-party software compatibility for Insider Preview releases.
