Application quarantined upon shortcut execution regardless of manual exclusion settings.

Name: Bitdefender Total Security 2018

Version: Build 22.0.15.189

OS : Windows 10 Home x64 1607

There seems to be a bug that causes any application even with all exclusions applied to it to be automatically quarantined upon execution after is has been attached to the Taskbar. Even if you remove the excluded application from the Taskbar and run the file normally via File Explorer the file is still automatically quarantined. In short, attaching a file to the Taskbar breaks any Bitdefender exclusion properties for that file permanently. I have found this can be fixed by moving the file to a new folder then re adding the exclusions and avoiding attaching the file to the Taskbar.

  • Hello,

Please let me know if you excluded the file from the Antivirus itself and Advanced Threat Defense?
