Disable remote monitoring

Greetings!


I have Bitdefender Total Security 2018. I want to disable Anti-Theft feature or better yet disable remote monitoring altogether, because I found out that anyone with access to my account on Bitdefender Central can potentially lock or even WIPE my PC without any additional security checks. Not even 2FA is available there (WHY?!). If I delete my PC from the devices list, then I frequently receive a very annoying notification on my PC prompting me to login. This is same as having a backdoor installed. So much information and control is available to anyone who can guess (steal) my password.


If it's not possible to do, then sadly I'll have no other option but to request a refund. I payed for the AV, not a backdoor.

    Unfortunately it is not possible to disable the Anti-theft features. 


     


    One possibility would be to downgrade to Bitdefender Internet Security, which does not offer this feature. For a comparison between the 2 products, please access this page on our website:

    No, that is not possible. The installed product gets the details of your subscription from the Central account in which the subscription was activated.
