Bitdefender Free blocking youtube videos?

Since yesterday, I can still access youtube.com, but I cannot play any videos, using Windows 7 and Firefox browser (56.0.2).  Adding youtube.com to the Exclusions list does not help. But the moment I turn "Protection Shield" off in BitDefender Free, the videos start playing normally.

And why is it not reporting the engine version and update time???  It looks like last update was yesterday (2/16) morning.

Not sure what is going on.

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks!

PS:  It has also started blocking a lot of legitimate websites in the past few days all of a sudden.  Not sure if this is all related...

  • I too am experiencing problems, since the latest update, watching streaming video sites: youtube, twitch, and crunchyroll so far.  I have to disable BD AV Free to watch them.

Hi guys! I have not been able to solve the problem for two weeks already, I sent all the necessary data to technical support, but there are no results. I understand the problem with certificates, but I do not know how to solve it.

  • Running Windows 10 I am having same issues . Also using Opera ,Firefox and Edge all with same issues.I have uninstalled and reinstalled Bit-defender Free .I do like that you offer a free program but,its useless if it is broken !

Did manage to do a bandaid solution by installing a proxy extension for chrome.
