I dont know why is this happening but Bitdefender free icon is missing from tray???
Every BD proces running fine...
I forgot to mention, "sometimes", not always!
I have experienced this issue as well.
This issue is not yet fixed and when will be only God knows!
This is on latest and updated windows 10 x64, I don't know how it is on win.7 ?

I too faced this issue many times. Since all the required processes of BD Free is running in the background for me as well it may not be a problem but lack of icon in the system tray after a cold boot is a concern to me because of the thought of "what if BD free AV is not running ?" Due to that I stopped using BD free 2 months ago. BD is one of the worst bugged AVs you can find whether paid or free solutions.
