Export or Save Settings

I would love a feature to export or save settings from one version of Bitdefender to another.

With each new version, I find that I have to manually put all my settings back with each yearly version. It would be nice to export our settings and import them into a new version.

I recommend you to keep your old version of Bitdefender when you install the new one and the settings will be kept.

I didn't know that was a possibility since the upgrade process requires you to uninstall any previous version as the first step. How do you accomplish that? TIA!

Bill, don't quote me on this but if you over installed BD in the past, it would uninstall the old version, keep the settings and then install the latest version.

Don't know if that's still the case, but if you're feeling adventurous !..............

Looks like I misunderstood the post from /index.php?/profile/214096-detorkville/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="214096" href="<___base_url___>/index.php?/profile/214096-detorkville/" rel="">@detorkville which said to keep your old version of BD when you installed the new one. I thought he meant to have both installed simultaneously but now I think you're correct about what was meant. Thanks for straightening me out!

Basically you don't need to uninstall manually. Can you show me where it says that you need to uninstall the old version?

You are correct as explained here, installing the new version at BD Central will uninstall the previous version. In previous year upgrades as explained /index.php?/topic/76623-how-to-upgrade-to-2018/" rel="">here for 2018, the instructions were to run the uninstall tool first before you proceeded with the new version install.
