Can't check "Hidden Items"

In Windows 10, if I try to check "Hidden Items in Explorer, it unchecks after a split second. I read on another board that another user had the same issue and also used Bit Defender and when he disabled BD he could check the box.

I'm running Windows 10 with BD IS 2019 and am able to toggle the hidden items checkbox in File Explorer without any issue; hidden files are correctly displayed and the setting is maintained until I uncheck it.

I have the exact same situation after I updated to 2019. I had the same situation last time I updated, but I cannot remember what I did last time, because after that it just worked. I have tried deselecting everything in Bitdefender, scanned for malware, reset explorer.exe, but still no hidden folders/files shown. I hope somebody from Bitdefender read our thread.

Can you try to restart the computer? Don't shutdown/start again, but use the actual restart option. It should solve the issue.
