Firewall will not start up

Sometimes when I boot up my Windows 10 Home 64 bit (OS Build 17134.254) PC (Lenovo E50-50) running Bitdefender Internet Security 2019, the BD firewall won't start up and cannot be turned on via the Windows Defender Security Centre. I have tried uninstalling & re-installing Bitdefender several times, which sorts it for a few days, but then the problem is back again.

    Could you please try to reproduce the issue using the support tool and PM me the logs? Here's how to generate a support tool log: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/8919/


    Also, while reproducing the issue, could you please run in command line "sc query ignis" and tell me the result? (running/stopped etc)

  • Thanks for that, currently since I uninstalled & reinstalled BitDefender, it is working OK. If it fails to start again, I will collect the data you requested & post back on here.


  • One of the two problems I have been having, which seems to be related to the firewall one, has just started happening again. When I hover over the Bitdefender icon I get a permanent message of “services are loading now please wait".


    I will collect the logs etc as per your reply & will PM you the results as requested.
