.index files
I have a number of files called things like 29fd7968-3873-471a-8b44-5afba214a3d6.index about 2 MB each. They are located in random folders and I have a couple of them spread over my disks/partitions.
Someone told me these kind of files could indicate some kind of malware or virus. I scanned the files and I also completed a full system scan which came out clean so I doubt that is the case here.
Was wondering if these files maybe are generated by Bitdefender Antivirus Plus?
I also tried creating a support ticket but got the error message shown in the attached screenshot.
Then one last question - how do you get into this forum from the Bitdefender home page? Every time I want to ask something in here, I have to perform a Google search to find this place.

To be able to give you an accurate verdict on the files in question please send us an email at bitsy@bitdefender.com with a detailed description of this situation, a couple of screenshots showcasing where you've located them in your device and a sample of said files in a password protected archive. ( the last part is required so that should they contain any malicious content we'll be able to receive them unaltered)
