PC Wakes Up

in Bitdefender antivirus free edition


I'm using Bitdefender Antivirus Free. It wakes up my PC from Sleep every couple seconds; apparently it's doing updates. How do I keep it from doing this?

    Hello,


    Please let us know the reason you think this issue is caused by Bitdefender. Additionally, please disable the Bitdefender Shield and leave your PC to sleep and check if the issue reproduces with the Shield disabled.

    The waking up started right after I installed Bitdefender. I just did disable the Shield, and it still wakes up. Possibly it's the updater that's causing the problem?

    Hello,


    Please open Command Prompt as administrator:


    - type cmd in the Start Menu


    - right click and select Run as administrator


    - copy the command 


     powercfg -lastwake


    - send us the output from this command

    Turns out it was not Bitdefender causing the problem. It was a peripheral attached to my PC.
