How to remove infected web resource

Bitdefender Free is issuing the following warning every few minutes:

     Web Threat Blocked

     Infected web resource cardinaldata.net/1fa16f6ccbee7450c.js

Also I noticed that when I opened the Bitdefender customer support page:

    https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/

    

and clicked on "Send us an email", I see the message:

    Waiting for cardinaldata.net

    javascriptvoid(0)



and the page just hangs.

I have run Bitdefender scan but it reports zero infections.

I would appreciate any advice on removing this malware.

I solved the problem by reinstalling Chrome.
