Can we have an option to pause auto-update when on battery? It's annoying to have Bitdefender updating in the background and draining my battery.

As long as the device is online signature update are a necessity to ensure you're protected against 0-hour threats out there so we don't currently have plans to introduce an auto-pause.
You can however disable silent updates to choose whether to accept the update at the time or postpone it. ( Settings -> Update tab -> Untick Silent Update).
