Why is Bitdenfender always updating in inappropriate situations?

Why is Bitdenfender always updating in inappropriate situations?

e.g. when iam unzipping large archives the updater just  starts and brings harddisk to 100% and slows down everything.

Why  not waiting a few seconds 'till the unzip is done and the system load is down and start the update then???

Drives me cracy everyday...!

Hello AlexanderHH,

 

Antivirus Free is checking automatically for updates 10 minutes after boot and each hour afterwards. Probably Bitdefender starts using resources when unzipping because it is scanning the files which are extracted from archive.

Please let us know how many resources is Antivirus Free using when you extract files.
