Windows Security reports AV out of date

Hi,

I am using Bitdefender free and as far as I can tell it is fully updated. However Windows Security constantly reports it out of date. If I click update and clear the message it just comes back.

This does not give me confidence to upgrade to the paid version.

Can you help?

This is to inform that every product of bitdefender whether free or paid gets update after every one hour. In brief, the time between two successful update is 1 hour.

While the paid version of bitdefender does have manual update button but it lacks in free version. The only way you can note if your free version is getting updated is by going into protection settings and checking the last update time.

Additionally you should click on ignore the message of Windows Security if you find the protection is getting updated, so that you will not be notified again.
