Bitdefender blocking GeForce Experience
GeForce Experience, which automatically optimizes games based on a specific computer's hardware, is common software for those with NVIDIA graphics cards. With Bitdefender Total Security installed, GeForce Experience cannot access game folders, view game settings, or optimize game settings. This forces Bitdefender users to manually configure all game settings. I have tried manually scanning for games, starting games through GeForce Experience, and re-installing both Bitdefender and GeForce Experience. The only thing that allowed GeForce Experience to work was disabling or uninstalling Bitdefender. All other scenarios result in the same message in GeForce Experience ... "Unable to retrieve settings. Try again later." (See image below). What can be done to keep Bitdefender running but also allow GeForce Experience to access and optimize game settings?
