Digital Camera won't connect to PC

Guys 'n' Gals,

A month or so ago I tried to plug myOlympus Mju 1040 Digital Camera into my PC (XP SP2) to do something. The ****** said it was being charged but the PC seems to have no linking that it's connected. I can't force it to pick it up when it can't see anything there at all. I've not been able to connect it to the PC since.

Can anyone suggest what might be happening?

Hello wnf15,

Did you tried a different usb port? Can you please do this also press the windows button together with r now type devmgmt.msc press enter. Now expand (by clicking on +) the section called usb-controllers. Do you see any question or exclamation marks?
