Windows 10 update issues

Hello Everyone.

I have a Win10 machine that seems to be 'stuck' getting the updates. It is stuck on build 26.0.7.36 from December 20th. It is online, I have great internet connection but it just sits there 'Checking for updates...

Suggestions?

Download the iso installation file, Windows 10, or immediately create a bootable USB flash drive. From the official site of Microsoft. -> https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/#34de222e-6944-44aa-8f45-8e96988880a4 Run the setup file setup.exe and select the update option.

Thanks for this. I removed and reinstalled bit defender and the update seems to work. Must have been a corrupt setup..
