Bitdefender is blocking python scripts, even if we allow them!

I just bought BitDefender and I realised that the Antivirus is blocking my Python ******!

Also, I saw this forum topic:

It looks like your Support team don't even cared to reply there!

I tried to add exception for the python ****** in Protection -> Antivirus -> Settings -> Manage exceptions -> Add an exception and I selected the Python ****** path.

So what is going on here? I have urgent work which is waiting!

  • Hello @ac_bbs and welcome to the Community!

If adding an exception does not solve the issue, I would recommend to contact our Technical Teams for a detailed investigation, as more information might be required for troubleshooting. The Support representatives will respond, however, this is not someting that can be resolved on the forum, and for this reason we have provided the available contact channels on the other thread as well, as the engineers may require logs and addtional details from the machine.

You can get in touch with our engineers by choosing one of the contact methods available here:

    Hi,

Same here, with a fresh install of anaconda python env.

Bitdefender (Win11, Powershell 7.2.5) is blocking the conda env invocation even when anaconda dir and conda.exe has been added to the exception list !

    Invoke-Expression: H:\OneDrive\Documents\PowerShell\profile.ps1:4:91
    Line |
       4 |  … onda.exe" "shell.powershell" "hook") | Out-String | Invoke-Expression
         |                                                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
         | This ****** contains malicious content and has been blocked by your antivirus software.

I'm afraid we won't be able to get to the bottom of this on the forum, as there are several things on the machine that must be checked.

Based on your description of the situation encountered, I would recommend contacting the Technical Support Teams, as more information might be required to troubleshoot this. You can get in touch with our engineers by choosing one of the contact methods available here:
