On my Asus Win 7 tower I uninstalled Eset Internet Security then installed newly purchased Bitdefender Antivirus Plus. My boot to desktop time was 20 sec. with Eset and now it is 50 sec.+ with BD. How can I speed up boot time with BD?

You could also try disabling the Early boot scan. It's disabling a security feature, but, if it helps?
Also, give your PC a couple of reboots and see if it resolves itself. Otherwise, you have Gjoksi's helpful post above :)
