Trojan.dmservinf.a

Hi, when I scan my computer, I keep on getting this trojan on a particular file. It can't be deleted, and even it's moved to quarantine, another one appears. The file is dmserver.dll and it's located in C:\Windows\system32\. I'm running XP Pro if that helps at all. Thank you

    Hi !!!

I have faced the same problem but I found the solution.

1st - Open the folder and find the file named "dmserver.dll". go to C:\Windows\system32 and search

    dmserver.dll.

2nd - connect internet, go to this link (copy this link and pest in browser )

    http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_...2/download.html

Download the original & fresh "dmserver.dll" file from here. go to C:\Windows\system32 and replace the new with the older one.

3rd - Then scan the system32 folder with Bitdefender again... then ....... you find no virus ..... Ok. Bye.

  • Thanks for the info =)

I follow the step but I cannot replace the old file. How can I do next?

  • Download Malwarebytes' Anti-malware from here:

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Once the download is complete, run the install program, and accept all of the default options. Make sure that the options to Update and Launch the software is checked when you click Finish.

Now, let's make sure that it has all of the latest anti-spyware definitions: click on the Update tab and click the Check for Updates button.

After the updates have been loaded, click on the Scanner tab and choose the Perform Complete Scan option, then click the Scan button.

When the scan is complete, it will show you all of the potentially harmful files on your computer - click the button to remove them automatically.

Paste the scan log here. :)
