General Install question.... Looking for a Sticky.

Hello. I'm new to Bitdefender security solutions and am preparing to install Bitdefender Total Security onto my PC.  I've read the User Manual and have checked out the relevant articles and videos on program installation at the Bitdefender support website.

I'm curious if there is a "sticky" somewhere outlining ALL of the recommended configuration settings on the program that will ensure maximum protection for the program once it's installed?  I'm also wondering if someone can direct me to the page on the Bitdefender website where these pages exist...if any? Thanks ahead of time for any and all replies to my inquiry. Thank you.

It sounds like you did some excellent pre-install research :)

We don't have a recommended Sticky, per se, as far as protection, as Bitdefender does install itself with all the protection modules enabled. You will need to install, allow, Anti-Tracker on your browsers.

The app Dashboard will give you Recommendations that you can go through and apply as needed.

I will give you a couple of tips on what to disable though, and that is Automatic Profiles, and just enable them manually as needed, or wanted. The Configure setting option will show you the settings that will change when using a profile. But, that is up to you, as some members found it confusing as to why BD wasn't updating as it should.

In Profiles BD update frequency will be changed accordingly. Once disabled, the update frequency should go back to your previous update setting.

When Work profile is enabled, update check interval is automatically set to 8 (eight) hours.

When Movie profile is enabled, update check interval is automatically set to 8 (eight) hours.

When Game profile is enabled, update check interval is automatically set to 12 (twelve) hours.

When Public Wi-Fi profile is enabled, update check interval is automatically set to 1 (one) hour.

When Battery Mode profile is enabled, update check interval is automatically set to 1 (one) hour.

Then I would also disable these two options, to help keep BD more quite. We have a longer list if needed, but I would start with these for now.
