    Hello makkie

There is a toolbar included in the installer.

I will move your topic to a more appropriate forum section so the virus researchers and analysers can argue if it's a threat or not for them.

The install kit contains an Adware component commonly known as MyWebSearch (hence the acronym). If you wish to install Nero, you can temporarily exempt the directory from on-access scanning.

    Hello cd-Man

Nero includes Ask toolbar see here : http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/FAQs_Ask_Toolbar.html

Also they say that isn't malware. I just wanted to inform you. But as you say that it's an mywebsearch than that will be the case.

Yes, it is the Ask toolbar, but it seems to be (at least partially) created by the same people who created MyWebSearch (FunWebProducts), this is the reason for the detection name. And no, we are not saying that this is malware, rather that it is a file the user might wish to know about. And probably Nero has an option to disable the installation of this piece.

    Hello Cd-MaN

You can uncheck it during installation. Thanks for giving the reason. With they I meant nero and not you (Softwin BitDefender) but I agree that I wasn't clear about that. I find a very good thing that warn people about it. Because most people don't look at the checked options. Also thank you very much for answering. I really appreciated it.

    Hello Goody

Download unlocker : http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/unlocker1.8.5.exe Go to your temporary folder. Rightclick on toolbar choose unlocker,by action select remove and press on unlock all. Download ccleaner:

http://www.filehippo.com/download/751ed683...ebaab/download/ Do not forget to uncheck yahoo toolbar during installation and use the clean function. Normally you should get rid off it.

    Hello Goody

Download this clean tool and let it run: ftp://ftp6.nero.com/tools/General-CleanTool.zip That should remove everything of nero. Try this reboot your pc into safe mode by rebooting your pc and press several times on the F8 button and choose safe mode. Now you should be able to delete it without problems or let ccleaner run.

Just disable BitDefender Realtime Protection before attempting to delete the file. BD finds that files infected and blocks it. It's absolutely normal that you can't delete it.

After you delete it, be sure to re-activate BD Realtime Protection.

Normally when you use unlocker you don't have to close the realtime protection. That is how I always work. But sometimes it will not work because the file itself is corrupted. Good that your problem is solved.

Glad that we could help you.
