Install family pack does not start

I have total security with about 50 days left. Found a deal on family pack. Downloaded the installation file and ran it. I see the hour glass blink a couple of times, then nothing. Tried installation with activation key, nothing. Tried a second time with activation key, and it said "already active". Go to my subscriptions and click install for the family pack and I get the blinking hour glass then nothing still. Can I not have two subscriptions active on the same machine at the same time?

    Hello,

You may have two or more active subscriptions in the Central account running at the same time, but you can't have two products installed on the same device. Your Family Pack license has been activated successfully and runs in parallel with the previous Total Security license. Should you wish to protect your devices with Family Pack, you can reallocate them to the new license by following the steps from this article:

In other words, you can move the devices from one license to another and when you do this, the antivirus configuration will change/update according to that. If Bitdefender is already installed on those devices, it's not necessary to install it again, even if you've purchased a new subscription/license. Most likely, this is why the installation won't run, since the antivirus is already installed, but the device is assigned to Total Security and not Family Pack.

Let me know if things are clearer now.

    Hello.

To add here, don't forget to stop the auto-renewal for the Bitdefender Total Security subscription, by following these steps:

Just follow the steps as described in Method 1, because some users in the past reported that the steps from Method 2 didn't stop the auto-renewal.

Also, from my personal experience, Method 1 did/does the job.

Finally, you can stop the auto-renewal for the Bitdefender Total Security subscription by contacting Customer Support at:

    cancel@bitdefender.com

    Regards.
