Google Chrome stopped working with Bitdefender update this morning

It stopped working and wont load as soon as the update completed

    @JDRacerDad ,

    Have you tried rebooting the computer? Do you have Fast Startup enabled? What is the current version of BD that you are running, and which BD product do you use? It is hard to assist with so little information.

  • I rebooted twice.

    I do not have Fast Startup enabled.

    I have Bitdefender Internet Security

    Build 27.0.25.116

    Engine version 7.95780

    Hope not to be an expert on all the information required to trouble shoot Bitdefender.

    Bitdefender makes me nervous every time it updates.

    It completely turns off when updating even though I've have my internet browsers open and running, Firefox and Chrome.

    Chrome was running and won't open after the update.

    Other information, hopefully not needed.

    Perhaps a Chrome reinstall solves this..

    Regarding your second comment that got blocked, maybe you've tried to post it shortly after the first one, and the flood control got enabled, that's another defense layer designed to prevent spamming on the forum.

    You can try to post the info again, and please do let us know if reinstalling Chorme gets it going again. If it doesn't, then I think it's a task for the Bitdefender Support engineers..

    So far, i have no problems with Google Chrome, works fine for me.

    Try uninstalling and reinstalling google chrome and see if it resolves the issue.
