Hello,

I have used CCleaner for years.

Yes I have heard the stories.

So I started with Glary Utilities for a while and uninstalled that. : (

My Question is:

Doesn't Bit defender have something that will delete my Temporary Internet Files

and cookies etc.

I have done some research what would a cyber Pro use for his cleanup?

Open the Run command and execute the following commands one by one:

temp – delete all the files in the folder.

%temp% – delete all the files in the folder.

prefetch – delete all the files in the folder.

C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download - delete all the files in the folder.

In addition to my above comment, you can also download CCEnhancer from https://singularlabs.com/software/ccenhancer/. This tool adds more cleaning sections to the CCleaner software. However, after installing it, kindly note that the 'Clean' section of CCleaner may take some time to load, as CCEnhancer provides many additional cleaning locations. Also, remember that installing the CCEnhancer file in CCleaner will only provide normal cleaning locations, along with a collection of temporary files from all installed software on your device.

If you prefer not to use CCleaner with CCEnhancer, you can download BleachBit from https://www.bleachbit.org/. BleachBit includes an integrated CCEnhancer file called 'winapp2.ini.' To enable this, checkmark the option in the settings. This will download the same additional cleaners as in CCEnhancer for CCleaner.

I am a fan of System Ninja, which has a free and paid version. It does a very thorough cleaning job, and you can exclude folders that you want it to ignore.

I am so impressed that I have used the Pro version for years to help support its development. I gave up on CCleaner when it became so bloated, and the ownership changed.

I also regularly use Windows' own "Disk Cleanup" to clean up system files.

With respect to Bitdefender, I won't use its optimizer because it includes a registry cleaning component, which is supposed to be very safe, but the use of registry cleaners is not recommended by many experts and Microsoft itself.

Many years ago, I borked a computer by using a "respected" registry cleaning program. I learned my lesson the hard way.
