bitdefender wont install keeps asking to restart

I try to install bitdefender but i dont come far, after downloading te installer and after the installer downloads all the needed stuf. It wil ask to accept the subscription agreement and by pressing install it wil ask to restart my laptop. When you say yes it will restart. After restarting the laptop it wil ask again to accept subscription agreement and then you end up with thre same question to restart the laptop and so on and so on

    I have the same problem. any help out there? I am on with a justanswer expert who doesn't seem to be able to help. I post and wait ?

  • I went to this page before and they sent me to askanswer? and the tech gave me suggestions that still did not get my BitDefender installed.

    We would require more information to be able to point you in the right direction.

    First, do you get any error message whatsoever when trying to install the software? Have you checked if any other security solutions are installed on the device? Does the device meet the minimum system requirements to intall Bitdefender? Are you logged on to Windows with an Administrator account or with a standard (restricted) account? Was Bitdefender previously installed on that device?

  • February 2025 and the problem of install / restart / install / restart ad infitum still exists. I purchased the 5 devices software and installed on 2 x laptops and 2 x androids no problems but my main desktop will not play ball no matter what I do, I even tried installing the free version but that didn't work either. So my desktop is vulnerable and wishing I had kept Eset. So far I get the 'watch this tutorial' on how to install etc etc.

    Considering that this thread is almost one year old, it's highly possible that the issue you are facing is unrelated to the one reported at that time. For the record, there are no outstanding install issues.
    So, you got Bitdefender installed on four devices so far, yes? What OS does the 5th device have, and does it meet the minimum system requirements to install Bitdefender? Also, was Bitdefender previously installed on that device and do you get any error messages during the installation attempt? Was the previous security solution uninstalled completely from that device? Does the installation process start at all, or does it disappear without an error? Are you logged on to Windows with an Administrator account or with a standard account?
    I may have more questions along the way. 🙂
