you helped me learn how to perform a deep scan in safe mode with the command prompt. is there a possibility to do this scan with the same auto-shutoff feature that it has in normal mode?

    Do you mean to shut down the computer after the scan is finished? That can't be done in command-prompt.

    yes, that's what i meant. when it's finished scanning it shuts the computer down automatically. it's a great feature in normal mode, but as you clarify, it isn't available in safe mode.
