Options

Hi guys

This is my first post.

I had this problem before, whilst on xp, and it has now reappeared on vista. I cant view photobucket, or any pics that are hosted on it. Can someone help me sort it out please?

Im running BF v10 build 247

Thanks

    Hi stanbates

Try this open BitDefender, antispyware, adjusted level and uncheck privacy control. After that the pages will load but you have to click on the link to see the images.

  • Hi Niels

Ive checked that but the check box is NOT ticked, so it was already disabled.

    Any other tips?

    Thanks

    Hi stanbates

Try this press on F5 in your browser. Delete also the temp files. To do that in Firefox go to tools, options, privacy, under privacy settings check remove my confidential files when I exit (quit) Firefox you can select what you want to delete by pressing on settings and uncheck what you don't want to delete. After that you can press on erase/delete now. Under Internet explorer go to tools,internet-options (settings),remove files and check also remove also all offline-files.Which browser are you using? What is the security level that you have set in your browser? Could you also please say what you can't view on photobucket. Because I can see the images.

    Regards

Using Firefox, but also tried IE and get the same. I can view the photobucket home page, but not my account. I also cant see any pics that are hoested by photobucket such as peoples signatures etc.

I'll try your suggestion above, and also try to get some screenshots.

    My security settings are default.

  • Here are some screenshots of the time out message.

    Hi stanbates

Which add-ons have you installed in Firefox? Do you have any other security software installed on your computer? Could you please check also this open BitDefender go to antivirus, see if the slider is set on default (standard). When I uncheck http-traffic scanning and privacy control I can visit photobucket. Which firewall are you using? So you removed also the temp files in Firefox?

  • I use BF internet security 10 for my firewall Niels.

No other software apart from Windows stuff. Also tried your recommendations, but not working.

Ive just opened a pic from photobucket which I use as a signature on a different forum, and I CAN view it, but still cant get into my album.

    Hi stanbates

The problem is that I only use BitDefender Antivirus Plus. Try this set the security level on internet plus and see if you can now view photobucket. Try this also open BitDefender go to antispyware,****** control and add http://www.photobucket.com and also the link to your album. Choose permit.

  • Im back!!!!

thanks for your help Niels. It all started to work all of a sudden, but unforunately its not viewable again!!!

    Anyone got any other ideas?

  • In fact, I just turned off bitdefender completely, and the issue is still apparent, therefore something else must be doing it!!!! :o:wacko:

  • Try to eliminate things one by one. FIrst uninstall BD, and see if problem persists. Then one by one uninstall any other program that has been put on until you find the culprit.

    Hello stanbates

On what kind of security level is Internet Explorer set?

Are you using the noscript plug-in in Firefox? If so you have to allow scripts on the photobucket website.

Do you have flash player installed? Some websites requires to work properly. Flash player for Firefox.

    Internet Explorer Install also shockwave.

You can give winsockfix a try. You can download it here.

    Best regards

    Hello stanbates

    It isn't vista compatible.

You can try running it in comptability mode by right clicking on the file choose properties go to comptability and select windows xp service pack 2 and press on apply. Go to tools, manage add-ons,find more add-ons,select add-ons that have been used in Internet explorer. Now select each item and select disable write down disable one add-on each time so you can see if an add-on is causing that issue.

    Best regards
