Hi.

1-This is what happens (see pic below) using bitdefender internet security 2012.

Happens with all the browsers i have (Chrome, FF, IE9).

If i remove the program problem is gone.

If i install it again problem comes back.

The page is record.pt and the screenshot below is from that page.

    Sharkfish: only on that website ? Can you provide few more please? I believe that the issue will be resolved with the new update for the Traffic Light module.

    www.gazzetta.it has the same problem using opera, ie, firefox and chrome

    EDIT: it happens on chars like è, é, à, ò...

  • Hello,

    Can you reproduce. Please post a screenshot and the version for the following two files located in the BitDefender installation folder:

    - bdtl.dll

    - httpvs10u.dll

    Default location: C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2012

    Looking forward to your answer!

  • This is the screenshot:

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

    - Version of bdtl.dll: 15.0.27.308

    - Version of httpvs10u.dll: 1.5.0.23

    Thanks

  • You do not have BitDefender updated with the latest product updates. You should have:

    - bdtl.dll -> version 15.0.27.333

    - httpvs10u.dll -> version 1.5.0.23.

    Update BitDefender then restart the PC. Check the bdtl.dll, see if it changed then try to see if the issue still persist.

  • Do you refer to an update with the Update module, don't you? (and not uninstalling and re-installing)

    I've updated and restarted: version is still 15.0.27.308.

    Could it be that it happens because I've installed the Italian version? (3 or 4 days ago)

    Do you think that english version is better supported (some AVs for instance release different versions, of which only a few for some languages) or there's no difference? Should it be that installing the english version I resolve the boot time problem too?

  • Hello _Diego_,

    All BitDefender products receive the same updates. There might be, however, some slight time differences between the release times between different languages. So yes, the English version might currently have a few fixes already released and the Italian version might not. If the problems you encounter are really annoying, you could remove BitDefender and install the English version and see if the issues persists.

    Otherwise, you could wait for the update to be released for your language (which I assume is now under internal testing).

    Cris.

  • Thanks Cris, I installed the Eng one and this is now resolved.

  • You're welcome, _Diego_. Glad I could help.

    Cris.
