Very Slow To Load A Web Page!

When Bitdefender Internet Security 2012 (x64) updated to ver 15.0.27.338, and now updated to ver 15.0.31.1282, Surfing the internet is very very hard. Some website is load normal (ex: mp3.zing.vn), most website need to reload a few to load it (Ex: google.com.vn,youtube.com) and some website is not load (Ex: bongdaso.com).This problem is reported in topic "IDM vs Bitdefender" but seems it not support, so I post in new topic. This problem is appeared after Bitdefender's team fix IDM issue. Surfing the internet is the minimum requirements everyday, so We can't wait longer. I using Win 7 ultimate x64, BIS 2012 x64 ver 15.0.31.1282. Please fix now very very soon.

  • I still usning the same product but downgrade to BitDefender Internet Security 2011, i still monitoring changing for BitDefender 2012 in other PC. I Hope they fix it as soon as possible.

    I faced the same problem too. I reported it in the post IDM vs Bitdefender quite two weeks ago; but it seems not to be resolved yet so I downgrade to another Security suite till they solve it.

  • I have the same problem. Can't download anything using Chrome. Can't upload any pictures into my wordpress (using Chrome and Firefox). Uploading files by winscp program is very, very slow.

    When update from ver 15.0.27 to ver 15.0.27.338. I turned off Antiphishing toolbar but it still.


    This problem occur on IE,Firefox, Chrome,

    This problem appeared from ver 15.0.27.338. and now, It still with ver 15.0.31.1281. I'm using 15.0.31.1281

    For me, it is occurring when the firewall is active, regardless of other settings. It is more persistent when antiphising or scanning http traffic settings are enabled. Even with the firewall turned off, and scanning of http traffic is disabled, it is still affecting use of the browser, and it is occurring with all browsers.


    Ultimately, I had to uninstall 2012 and install 2011, which works.


    This type of situation happens almost every time I upgrade your product. It seems I spend a good 1-3 mos helping you fix your new release AFTER I've paid for it. Granted, issues occur in all software, but every new release?

    Unfortunately, this did not make a difference to my system...issue remains.

    It doesn't work by me too, even after disabling advanced browsers integration of IDM. Pages are always difficult to be loaded.

  • That's hax's temporary fix. You can try another fix of him. By changing the core.http.xml file in folder setting.

  • No as quoted its IDM advanced integration problem. Remove that and pages load as normal.

    Regarding the slowdown issue, please provide us the following things/make the following settings in the product:


    -Make sure that your firewall is properly set up(Open up Bitdefender, click on Network details and set the Network Type to Trusted, Stealth Mode to OFF and Generic to Yes(only for Internet Security and Total Security).


    - Tell me if the issue is reproducing with the toolbar set to OFF(Open up Bitdefender. In the main window, click on "Settings". From the advanced interface, click on Privacy Control module and select the Anti phishing tab. Please disable all the options from there and reboot your browser). Also, please test this on other browsers like Firefox or Chrome.


    -Please provide the list of installed add-ons from your browsers.


    -Please tell me if the issue is general(all your favorite websites) or just some(like YouTube, Facebook, etc).


    -Please provide more details about your machine(CPU, memory, operating system, architecture(32 or 64 bit).


    -what build are you currently using?(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number. It's something like 15.0.xx.xxx. If that number is not at least 15.0.32.xxxx, please update the program from the main interface.

    I try but issue remains.

    issue occurs just some website (google.com,youtube.com,bongdaso.com,vnexpress.net,...)


    My Machine: CPU Core i5 760, RAM 8GB, Windows 7 SP1 Unltimate 64bit.


    Build: 15.0.33.1409


    PS: When I disable IDM's advanced browser integration, everything is ok

  • After 3 years with 2009, I needed new license and just installed Total Security 2012. My hard drive will not stop spinning, the entire PC is slow, and most web pages just spin and spin and never load. Then, when I started my laptop today, upon which I also installed the application, it will not even boot up; the drive spun for two seconds and then froze. Very disappointing. Worse, it seems I am not alone in finding this new upgrade is nothing but trouble. I can remove it on my desktop, but my laptop appears gone and needs a new install off my backup. GROAN!

    This problem occurs all my browser ( IE 9.0, Nightly 10a1 64bit).


    This problem occur over 1 month ago, from build 15.0.27.338.


    of course, I restarted my computer after the updates.

  • Bitdefender is worse after the update. In firefox tabs are extremely slow to load, if I open 3 tabs quickly firefox will continually keep "connecting" and only restarting the browser will fix so I can continue browsing.


    Chrome crashes if I open 3 tabs quickly :(


    This is unacceptable for a paid product.

  • lol guys, you know what I'm uninstalled BD IS 2012 immediately after two days threatened by all the bugs BD has and by read EVERY post in this forum, all is complaining, all is complaining until today the issues remains persist..


    so I think I must postpone my time to reinstall this accidentally-paid-product and am using another 2012 security suite which is next to perfection with no problems at all I had before with BD.


    thanks for the beta version BD, it will be forever never fixed I guess

  • I would like to know why this problem, which I reported while 2012 was in Beta still exists.


    I was going to purchase total protection 2012 for my studio but have since changed because of its effects - blocking the internet. It appears that instead of actually fixing it they just want to keep asking people about settings and this and that.


    Note the following - BitDefender is apparently supposed to be user friendly, so people of all backgrounds and ages can use it. So instead of demanding information that some people might not be sure about use the collected information you already have, test the ###### out of it and fix it.


    It does make me wonder what the staff are using.


    P.S. I'm not trying to troll. I used to use BitDefender and loved it. I still partly do. 2012 to me is one of the best user friendly designs I've seen yet, its smart and easy to use and some of the features are great. Old versions before 2012 weren't perfect, but at least they let you browse.


    It just appears to me that the Beta came public far too early.

  • I did a chat session with support and "Chris" was very pleasant and helped. He provided a BD uninstaller and then the entire new BDTS2012 as a >200MB single download. I followed directions and then installed off the direct download file. IE appears to work now, at least on my machine, but the problem with Firefox remains--pages will not load. As Firefox has more needed options than IE, it is my preferred browser. But I had to remove BDTS2012 again and then installed another security package. Have almost finished restoring my laptop and obviously no way I am going to install BD on it given that it totally crashed before. The post just before mine shows that an user reported this problem in BD2012 Beta and it appears he is correct in that it has not been fixed yet within current released version. As I have purchased the product, I will just watch the posts and see if it ever gets repaired as my 3 year subscription for BD2009 is almost finished. Regretfully-----

    total sec 2012 makes my web browser too slow even if I open google.com


    but I found way to make it work


    every time I type the website address I see the name of this site in the title bar , but because of bitdefender total sec the webpage doesn't load and stay white tell I stop loading and press refresh then I find it ok

    web bowser google chrome and internet explorer


    2 weeks ago I unstalled bt ts 2012 and installed norton 360 every thing ok


    and today I downloaded the latest build of ts 2012 to find if you fix it but I find it still the same

  • ok guys to fix this problem you need to disable this useless new toolbar on your browser .. i tested it in chrome and seem work fine :) i hope they just remove this toolbar and not try to ruin it again


    i'm using chrome beta the latest version and what i did was


    on the firewall press " network details " and then make your network options like what cristi says Network Type to Trusted, Stealth Mode to OFF and Generic to Yes


    then go to settings .. privacy control ... and at the antiphishing tab disable the bitdefender toolbar


    restart your browser and this shall work with the most websites ... test it guys that wasn't work before at the older update i guess it will work now

    worked well, but i have to repeat the same step each time i restart windows.


    then now i decided to uninstall the IS 2012 and back to the comfortable IS 2011


    hope this issue can solved well soon..

    If you can get IDM to integrate with BitDefender I might give it a try again.


    EDIT: Just read the other thread and would like people who have tested BitDefender with IDM to comment on whether the browsing speed is improved?

    That's good to hear, however, I'm just a bit put off that although I've had a license for 2 months, I still can't use it. I've had BD products since 2004, and this is getting old.


    You released the product knowing there was an issue. It's not just a nag, it's actually crashing computers.


    Again, I will reinstall 2012 when it is actually 'ready' for market, though I would like to respectfully ask for an extension of my license, equal to the delay in resolving this major issue.
