Internet Speed Killed

Hello,


I just installed Bitdefender Internet Security 2012.


I have a very fast internet connection and never ever had problems with it.


Since i installed Bitdefender the speed is gone. It is incredibly slow.


Webpages are not loading at all sometimes. Doenst matter what browser i use.


When i uninstall bitdefender the problems disappear.


I have Win7 SP1 64bit.


Installed all updates for windows and bitdefender.


I like the program but this really have to be fixed. Please help.

  • Did some more testing, Problems occur with chrome, firefox and internet explorer.


    Opera and Safari seem to be working fine. I installed them to test it..

    It seems no one from BitDefender can really get us a solution.


    I installed Bitdefender 2012 last saturday and my internet speed became incredibly slow.


    I've sent an email to BitDefender but got no reply. Right now, i just want my money back :(

    I'll be patiently waiting for someone to contact me. I hope they will and we will just solve this.

  • I have disabled the Bitdefender toolbar and my browsers are back to FAST.


    So in Network details set Network Type to Trusted, Stealth Mode to OFF, Generic to YES and then go to HOME and click SETTINGS then PRIVACY CONTROL on the left list and set Show Bitdefender Toolbar to OFF


    After this all the internet browsers are back to normal

  • THanks for the help chandavengerwa, unfortunately it doesnt help much. Still have issues with firefox. The slow speed is gone but now i have layout problems. i know it is from bitdefender because i already did an uninstall. Without bitdefender it is just working fine.. now it isnt.. anyone of bitdefender here to help me?

  • You are not alone lots of customers seem to have been having problems for a while . I had the same problems some time ago,& they seem no nearer to fixing it now.They Just seem to recommend work rounds and disabling various programme functions. Having used Bitdefender for years I finally gave up on it and installed another product.

  • I am experiencing the same occurrences...as well as others http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...29397&st=60. The slowdown also seems directly related to the BitDefender Total Security 2012 and specifically it's recent updates. Two laptops with (Windows 7 & Windows Vista) both 64 bit using BitDefender TS 2012 and both using IE9...neither of which were having any problems with internet browsing until recently with no other changes to the systems with the exception of the BitDefender updates. Its fairly obvious the problem is with BitDefender's software and not Web browser(s) software or functionality, add-ons, or other third party software. Instead of the plausible deniability, how about a little assistance in tracking this problem down, BitDefender!

    A product update was released. Your build should be 15.0.36.1530(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).


    In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
