Blocking Dvremote.exe

Hello I have Bitdefender 2012 Internet Security. I'm trying to watch our security camera's from my computer via a program called DVRemote.exe. When I launch the program everything will show up except the video. I've added the .exe to the firewall applications rule and I've added the .exe to the antivirus exceptions rule to no avail. When I uninstall Bitdefender the program works fine. Any suggestions? :blink:

Other notes. the program is using ports 49656,49658,49659 going to the DVR's port 80 via HTTP

  • Hello

    Did you create exclusions for processes too?

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=30243

    Thank you.

  • Yes I added it to the process exclusion and it still doesn't work. Any other suggestions? Would it have anything to do with the ports it uses for the video?

  • Hello

    Please pack that file in archive with the password infected and send me a PM with it.

    If the file is too big to attach it, upload it on

    http://www.sendspace.com

    or

    http://www.mediafire.com

    and send me a PM with the download link.

    We will analyze the information you sent and then reply with a possible solution in the shortest time.

    Have a nice day.

  • The Bitdefender PM is not letting me upload the archive. It's saying that I can't upload this type of file. What would you like me to do now? Also here is a workaround I received from Tech support that only works until I update the product.

    A workaround for your case is described below:

    Restart the computer in Safe Mode.

    - Browse to: C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2012

    - Locate file "bdtl.dll"and rename it into "bdt.dl_";

    - Restart the computer in Normal mode;

    - Once the product will want to Update, please make sure to select only the

    Virus Signature option and not the Product

    Update one, as that will replace the file you renamed in Safemode.

    To activate this option please open your Bitdefender, click on settings close

    to Auto Pilot and go to Update. Check the option 'Prompt before downloading'

  • Welcome back.

    Could you please provide me the ticket ID so I can take a look?

    Thank you.

    On a side note. why am I not getting an email stating that someone has replied to my topic? I did the first time you responded now I'm not getting any notice.

  • Hi Gary.

    We are testing some things and I will get back to you with further instructions.

    Thank you.
