I'm not sure about the retail store version and this promotion. I do know that to be absolute fail safe, would be to buy it from the Bitdefender store, as you will have that fall back position to rely on (compared to the retail out_let) if something should not work out as far as this promotion is concerned. Otherwise wait for a Tech. Support Mod to confirm that for you.

If you did purchase online, make sure if you don't want the Bitdefender auto renewal, to un-check that option during your purchase. Bitdefender was pretty good in how they set that up with Digital River, as that option is in the beginning of your purchase.

Your welcome, and I know what you mean, for I get Best Buy points, and besides, I've always been in favor of a disc in hand, and not having to deal with some of the online auto renewal policies of some companies.

A friend of mine just pointed me in the direction of Bitdefender after recommending it to me for my home PCs.

I've seen there is an offer on to purchase "Total Security 2012" and receive 5 free licenses for "Internet Security Suite 2012".

I was wondering if I purchase my copy of Total Security 2012 from a local shop or alternative online retailer whether the offer still counts?
