[resolved] Veetle Is Not Working With Bitdefender Ts 2012

after i installed the Bitdefender TS 2012 the veetle did not work and gave a message saying "Your firewall may be misconfigured."


has anyone faced this problem ?! please help me to resolve this issue.

  • I'm having same problem with Veetle browser plug-in, player just ends up with same error message. I'm guessing it is related to VLC streaming problem because it is based on VLC player with some added p2p functionality.

    For the current situation, let's try something else.


    Please follow the steps from below:


    1. Use our uninstall tool in order to uninstall/delete any previous BitDefender related files:

    Access the link and when the window with the BitDefender file appears, please choose the "Save to disk" option. Save the tool on the PC, run it(right click and select "Run as administrator" - for Windows Vista/7) and restart the computer when prompted.


    2. Download and install the software and then run it to clean your computer's registry and temporary files:

    Once the cleaning is complete it's recommended to restart your computer.


    If you have a registry cleaner already installed, you can use that one.


    3. Install BitDefender using the latest installation kit available for download. Please note that you need to download (save) the installation kit prior to running it.

    Just to clarifiy my sitation. I'm using Bitdefender Internet Security 2012 (3 pc, 2 years license with around 1.5 years left) version is 15.0.38.1605. This instalation is 3-4 days old, before that, there was Avira IS 2012 installed which license expired. After Avira was uninstalled, registry is cleaned both with Avira registry cleaner and CCleaner. Streaming both with VLC and Veetle plugin doesnt work.


    Download link for Internet Security is giving me Forbbiden error anyway.

    The posted version has a newer TrafficLight SDK integrated and Veetle should work just fine.

  • I reinstalled Bitdefender using link you provided, after reboot it upgraded to build .39, now both Veetle and VLC are streaming without problems. Thanks.
