Firewall Settings For Qnap Nas

I recently bought Bitdefender Total Security 2012

My qNap NAS hasn't showed up in the Network section since.

The Network locations that were connected (and given a drive letter) do show up in the explorer.

But these are only 2 locations that i use daily, all the other shares that i normally find under

> Network > #Device Name# > #Share Name#

are gone, and i can't find them anywhere

I tried disabling the IDS system, etc. in the firewall section,

but without succes.

Hope someone can help

thx

  • Not sure what NAS use for a TCP port but you might want to white list this on the firewall. Hopefully it will do the trick. biggrin.png

    Hello :)

Did you make these settings in the product?

    Thank you!

I did, but changed it back because it made things worse

It was first set to "Trusted" - Stealth-mode: Yes - Generic: No

When i changed it to the recommended settings, i was unable to open the network shares that were already saved with a drive letter,

and just as before... the NAS was not found in the list of network shares

    So i changed it back
