[resolved] Bitdefender Blocks Streams In Non-browser Apps

OK, so I wanted to play a game, which required an anti-cheat software. But it cannot launch, because of Bitdefender.. Please see the attachment to verify. It says "HTTP/1.1 403 Blocked by Bitdefender" and this issue can't be fixed by the user: I have added the program to the exclusions, also tried to disable the firewall, but that didn't work either.. I had the same problem during the BETA and then, after my feedback, the problem was fixed, so please, fix it again.

Regards,

V.Filipov.

    Hi :)

Please follow the steps explained in the article below and send me via PM the generated log file:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=29927

If the file is too big to attach it, upload it on

    http://www.sendspace.com

    or

    http://www.mediafire.com

and send me a PM with the download link.

If you were already asked to generate the log file, disregard the message above and just post the ticket ID.

    Have a nice day!

  • Actually I managed to run over this issue by disabling the on-access scanner. I don't get this message anymore, but now if on-access scanner is enabled it blocks some application files access. It surely is annoying, but by disabling the scanner the program works fine.

    Hello :)

Can you please add it to exclusions and let the On Access scanner turned on?

    Thank you!

  • Thank you for the fast reply Christian!

I did as you asked me to, added the program to exclusions (all steps from the link you added), rebooted, then left the on-access scanner turned on and I ran the program. Again BIS blocked a file of the program (see the attachment to verify). The program generates a .tmp file when booted. This file is immediately moved to quarantine and prevents the program from running properly. Is there anything else I can do about this?

    Hello :)

Please click there on More details. You can view the details about the infected file in the Events window that will open.

From there, please make a screenshot so I can see the path of the detected file. After this, I will send you further instructions so you can send us that temp file.

    Take care.

    Hello :)

For the current situation, let's do this:

    Add this folder to exclusions:

    C:\Users\p3nS\AppData\Local\Temp

You have here all the details:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35502

After this, delete all the files from there(that is a temporary folder, you can delete the content, not the folder). After that start again the software to create that .tmp file.

Wait for it to be created, it should appear shortly.

Please pack that .tmp file in archive with the password infected and send me a PM with it.

    .During this process the Real Time Protection in Bitdefender must be temporarily disabled;

[how to DISABLE THE ANTIVIRUS PROTECTION in Bitdefender 2013]

In order to disable the antivirus protection, please open Bitdefender and click the "Settings" button in the upper side part of the interface"; In the new window go to "Antivirus" > "Shield" tab and click on "ON" under On-access scanning. Select the time interval that suites your troubleshooting needs and click "OK". The On-access scanning should be enabled back after finishing the troubleshooting procedure.

If the file is too big to attach it, upload it on

    http://www.sendspace.com

    or

    http://www.mediafire.com

and send me a PM with the download link.

We will get back to you as soon as the analysis is complete.

    Have a nice day.

    Hello Cristian,

Sorry for the waay delayed (over 2-3 months) answer, but I had my DTR laptop burned out by the summer heat and until a week ago I hadn't got a workstation for myself.. Anyway, I'm happy to tell you that after configuring my new machine there is no such problem as the listed above and everything is working as it should be. Maybe this is because of the updates you did in that time or who-knows what, but that's not important. What is is that BIS 2013 is behaving better than before and once again my PC is very much protected by this awesome software.

Thanks again for the wonderful support. I hope I won't need your help soon. :)

  • Hello :)

I am glad to hear that.

In the current situation, I declare this topic closed.
