Bitdefender Services Are Not Responding

About 5 mins after booting my computer the bitdefender icon in systray goes grey and "Bitdefender services are not responding" is displayed on hover.


This is a clean install after running the BD removal tool twice.


Win 7 Ultimate 64bit, i7 processor 8 gig ram, no other AV/anti malware software installed.

    Your not going to like hearing. Do the uninstall with the uninstall tool again, but this time reboot the machine into safe mode first. Hopefully this will fix it. Good luck!

    You're right Sorter, not what I wanted to hear but have done as you advised anyway.


    So far so good but last install was OK for about a week before it broke too.


    Will see what happens.

    Well after a whole 24 or so hours of my BD install behaving itself I am now back to a grey icon and my services not responding yet again.


    I am seriously thinking of ditching BD and trying the opposition. I know BD is a good product but not sure it is worth the hassle of having to remove and re-install every day.


    Open to suggestions before I scrap it and try KIS or maybe Trend

    Me too, I have the same scenario as above. Except my system will freeze after "Bit Defender’s services not responding" message rears its head.


    Please Offer me a FIX or a refund. Really this is stupid for so many to have the same issue without resolution.


    The silence is deafening!

    A product update was released. Your build should be 16.23.0.1637(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).


    In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    A product update was released. Your build should be 16.23.0.1637(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).


    In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Hello,


    @ rainnyday : The product downloads the latest build number through automatically update. Please right click on the Bitdefender icon from the system tray, next to Windows clock -> choose 'Update now'. The newest build version is 16.28.0.1763.
