[escalated] Avc Issue

Hi there again. I have been the same problem in both Internet Security Suites, 2012 and 2013, looking at event viewner in Windows 7 64 bits, i found this security error:

Code Integrity determined that the page hashes of an image file are not valid. The file could be improperly signed without page hashes or corrupt due to unauthorized modification. The invalid hashes could indicate a potential disk device error.

File Name: \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2013\active virus control\Avc3_00149_002\avcuf64.dll

It means that Active Virus Control its not active, right?

I used Bitdefender Support Tool and its make the logs necessary to send by PM message, i bought this suite and the AVC is not working, like IDS too

Please help me with this issues, Thanks

  • I have the exact same problem. Using BD AV 2013 / win7 x64 SP1 and getting

"Code Integrity determined that the page hashes of an image file are not valid. The file could be improperly signed without page hashes or corrupt due to unauthorized modification. The invalid hashes could indicate a potential disk device error.

    File Name: \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2013\active virus control\Avc3_00151_003\avcuf64.dll"

Is the above something I should be worried about ? Like viruses, rootkits etc ?

I sent you a PM with the generated file, also a link to this thread.

    Thanks.

    Hello :)

We are working to fix that message, you don't have to worry about it. The AVC module is working properly even if you receive that message in Windows Events.

If don't see anything reported in Bitdefender's main window, the product is protecting your system.

    Take care.

  • Strange ...

I had this issue already with BitDefender Internet Security 2011.

    Today I migrated to 2013.

    And I have it again.

Hello all. I also have "\ Device \ HarddiskVolume2." The explanation is simple. My disk had two partitions. The first was installed Windows Vista and the second is used for data. Then I created a new partition where I installed Windows 7. After two years I decided to keep Windows 7 and eliminated the Windows Vista partition joining the Windows 7 partition. As a result the first partition (Volume1) is used for data and the second partition has the Windows 7 operating system (Volume2). Does Bitdefender or operating system conflicts with this situation?

    Best regards.

  • Hello :)

There is not an actual issue with the product. If you don't see any messages in the main window, the product is working properly.

We are working to eliminate those messages from Event Viewer.

    Thank you for your patience!

  • Hello, sometimes the Security Center reports that the antivirus and firewall are disabled. This service is set to automatic (delayed start). Does this happen because this audit failures?

    Best Regards

  • Hello :)

    There are two different situations.

The initial one reported in this topic is not related to what you are reporting.

Also, a product update was released. Your build should be 16.23.0.1637(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
