It was taking a long time for me too however it's not a download problem, it seems with the latest update there's a virus scan also attached and a subsequent reboot. Using System Resource Manager I could see all System files being scanned with vsserv.exe also cranking away, but little if none network activity.
It ran abnormally long then finally popped up for a reboot, I just left it alone.
I've done a reboot and it's now getting updated virus signatures.0 -
I am also having this problem... I was just about to post and saw this.

I did that, left it on ALL night, then asked for a restart. Restarted, and now it's doing it ALL over again..0 -
