[resolved] Problem Bitdefender With Windows 8
I have intalled bitdefender on systerm windows 8, but after intalled windows start very slow about 30minutes. sometime system don't start, I must restart manual.Now I remove bitdefender on my computer and windows start normaly.
I try bitdefender internet and total 2013

To be honest, I don't know why Bitdefender should work flawlessly with a pre release version OS, we just might be expecting too much too soon from a pre release OS, and a newer version of Bitdefender that is trying to get some of the 2013 glitches resolved, and are, thank you Christian
There are many AVs that have yet to prove they're "bulletproof" on this pre release. Do a Google search for; Windows 8 compatible antivirus, and click the link to Windows 8 Compatibility For Security: Antivirus.... and go to about page 3-4 and notice some of the non functioning AVs. I'd give Bitdefender and Windows 8 a bit more time to matur.e, before I would be to concerned with problems/issues.
Again, just my 2 cents worth, for what it's worth

I just installed Windows 8 Professional in a virtual machine and received a black screen after the first reboot. Bitdefender was not installed on that machine.
I will come back here after running several tests.

hi, thank you very much interest to this problem.This problem occurs with the latest version and from when installed bitdefender onwards, the reboot as many times as you boot into windows slower.currently I do not have the patience to wait for a half hour to boot windows so I had to remove bitdefender and wait for the next update0 -

Don't know what all the hype is about Win8, but those who jumped on the bandwagon to install it before SP1, can't expect miracles, that's for sure!0 -

I have the same problem!! Windows 8 RTM is out since weeks now and they are selling their product that officially supports Windows 8!!! But it is completely unusable!!! My whole system hangs, so I have to go into safe mode to switch of the bitdefender services..... what a whole mess!
Developers why don't you use Windows 8 RTM and install your own product to see what the heck is actually going on!
We are waiting for a quick fix!!

I have a shutdown that is in hibernation mode.so we can still use the bitdefender.but they are only temporary.I hope bitdefender to fix this problem0 -
same problem here i disabled lock screen + login user , when i turn on mypc and choose desktop from moden ui , my pc hanged for 5 minutes

if till Friday no updates comes that solves the incompatibility with Windows 8 RTM and Bitdefender 2013 TS, am going to remove this product and go for another security suite....

Bitdefender 2013 is a pure disappointment with Windows 8 pro RTM.... I don't know why you guys even advertise it is Windows 8 compatible? which is complete lie?.... the symptoms above haven't been fixed even with the latest update, which came out today.... the only solution is to set the start of bitdefender services from automatic to manual.... but then the live tiles on start screen are not working properly with Bitdefender... your spam control plug in for outlook and firewall needs to be redesigned .... am going now over to Kaspersky and cancel my license with Bitdefender.

Same problem here, i have BDA 2013 (licensed to 3 pcs) - installed on Win 8 x64 RTM.
On the PC, it worked for a short while until after a reboot it couldnt load the bitdefender drivers; i tried a lot but i had to reinstall win8 completely and i use windows defender for now.
On the laptop however, same win8 x64, it's still running properly.
I have UAC turned off via registry, smartscreen off on both laptop & pc, so no differences in setup.
Edit: where can the latest beta versions be downloaded?
Edit2: i remember just now, the Desktop BDA crashed after inserting/scanning/removing a USB stick, after reboot it couldnt load bdagent drivers0 -

they are not replying because all they want is your money ))))) I tried Kaspersky am not happy with that too.... am using now built in Microsoft Defender in Windows 8 which is extremely light and does its job very well! Am waiting now for Eset Smart Security 6.0 which is about to be released, this one is great light suite and does a perfect job!
Am tired of Bitdefender using us end customers for beta testing.... my opinion Bitdefender 2013 is still beta!..... the spam plug in for outlook sux since years no changes on it which is poor.... firewall configuration sux.... developers at least take a look at other products and then put some creativity into it and create!! ...The only changes on bitdefender is the main window.... looks kind of spacey ))))..... ohhh and last but not least.... your new logo in the task bar as a simple "B" looks chea.p.... the old one was a lot better!0 -
