3trojan.generic.60262 While Doing Dvd Backups..fp?

I just finished backing up a folder where I store programs I use when I redo my system and got 4 generic trojan alarms

I am positive these are FP and here is the link from megaupload for them if I can access them

If not I will send them via quarantine

This is very annoying

Well there is no way I can access these files short of uninstalling bitdefender so I sent them thru the quarantine folder

I hope this gets fixed post haste as this is very tiresome

It is indeed annoying but if you are sure they are FP you can unchecked the real time protection temporary, backup the program archive using a password, and leave it for the next reinstall, then check the real time protection.

That was the first thing I tried and I still could not access these files

  • Dear amber438

Can you please upload the files that are being detected? I can't find a download link.

You can exclude the folder by doing this : double click on the red BitDefender icon, click on settings once you are in the BitDefender Security Center now click on antivirus, exceptions, select paths and now browse to the folder, follow the steps. For BitDefender versions earlier then 2008 you have to use the option exclude this path from scanning pres add new item don't forget to press on apply and ok.

    Best regards

  • An other alternative would be to specify the detection name. Unless it is a generic / heuristic detection, it should be enough to track down the file.

    Best regards.
