Unable To Update - Please Help

Hi I am having trouble with running the update on BitDefender 2013 and I am using Windows 7.


When ever I run it, a critical error occurs it says "Bitdefender Security Center has encountered a critical error!". This error keeps popping up at least 3 times if not more.


If I click on view file it says...


C:\ProgramData\Bitdefender\Desktop\Temp\BDCH_EOLCOKPEOOBMCIELKLAOGDOPGLAJEGEH_sccenter1348296978.dmp


As a result Bitdefender is not updating. Please could someone help me, this is really frustrating :(

    Very slow updates, downloading 4 mb takes more than an hour and didn´t completed yet !


    I hope this is only temporary !

    I see the same problem today. Checking, founded ~4 MB of updates, but downloading takes about 30 minutes. <_<

    Status: Not started


    The download size was given (1016.9Kb) but the download did not start for about 15 - 20 minutes. Auto Update was turned off too and I'm sure it was turned on last time I looked. Anyway, all seems well at present. I'll see how it goes on the next update.


    Windows 7 64-bit.

    The whole day today download the updates was too slow, but I get the impression that the situation is better now than it was before.


    Updates are coming little faster, it is however betterment.


    I hope it will soon that situation to improve totally.

    Yes. Auto Update is definitely turning itself off. Waiting for the next update (2123.4Kb) to start. It has been about 15 minutes now. Not slow downloading as in the progress bar proceeding slowly. The update is just not starting at all.

    Please people from Bitdefender wake up !!!!!!!!!!. There is work to be done. No 24/7 service ? We live in the year 2012. And it's already the 2nd time this month. I want my money back.

  • Have wasted a large part of today going through repair, and uninstall / reinstall routines and fiddling endlessly. Still having problems downloading virus signature updates. This is becoming tiresome. I have bee a fan of Bitdefender for a while but they're going to have to do a lot better than this to keep my loyalty. <img class=" />

    Replace the word "AWAKE' to "SLEEP" nobody's home at bitdefender. I don't know how they're gonna deal when it comes to real threat.

    No way! You have to be able to control it- ON or OFF otherwise it's useless.

    With the Auto Update switched on, open the interface and click the 'Update Now' button. When I do this, Auto Update goes to 'Off' but returns to 'On' again as soon as the update has completed. So Auto Update isn't left in the Off condition ..unless you actually turn the feature off. With the recent update fault, it always appeared to be switching off. I think that was because of the length of time the update was taking. Even so, Auto Update did come back on again once the slow process had completed.

  • My update problem still exists.... BitDefender team please advise me on what I can do.... seriously I am getting sick & tired of this!!!!!! This isn't what I paid for.
