Wireless Printing Problem
Hello Everyone,
I recently DUMPED Norton Internet Security for BDIS 2008. While I am still learning its functionality I am having an issue with printing. Prior to the BD Firewall being installed, my other computers in the house wirelessly printed through my laptop to my OKI printer. After the installation of the BD firewall it will not allow the other PC's to print to my printer. The only way to get it to work is to disable the firewall. Does anyone know how to add the process, etc. to the firewall program to allow the remote wireless printing to be allowed? I have tried a recommended solution from Cris, about adding a new firewall rule, but that didn't work. I need this fixed. Norton didn't cause these conflicts....but it did slow my laptop down. I really don't want to switch back to NIS, but I will if I can't get Bit Defender Firewall to work.
Sony Vaio VGN-690 XP sp2
OkiData Color Laser C3200n
Network Magic V4
Bit Defender Internet Security 2008
Thanks!

Similar issue here.
Using Network magic and cannot access a shared folder on a remote machine.
Was able to do it once by creating a new zone and adding the remote computer to it, but that has since failed.0 -
Problem solved (after chatting with BD support)
Turning off steal mode works.
Settings > Firewall > Advanced > steal mode
