Explorer/windows Freezing After Update.

Hello

I recently received a big product update for TS 2013 and i decided to run windows updates too... After doing both Windows started to behave weird and mostly explorer started to crash along with inconless (paper icons) on desktop and start menu. Also random explorer freezes and aps. I decided it was time for a full pc clean up and Full Format, i did so.

After reinstalling windows ultimate 64 bit again and doing windows updates the next and first thing i install is the anti virus. I did a reboot and same problem started happening. Just wondering if is known problem and how i fix it?

I have a great build and i run on windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

I'm having the same problem! Windows Explorer either freezes or is slow to start. In addition, when the computer "sleeps" it is frozen on wake-up (no mouse or keyboard action).

Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

this is ridiculous every year the same problems when new version comes out i have been loyal to bitdefender since 2010 https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2565249/bitdefender/bitdefender.PNG always seems to have so many bugs when a new version comes out

seems this years problem is the crashing and freezing (slow to start) of windows explorer either be it from a usb stick or straight from the OS C drive or any other hd i am having the same problems i have it on 3 different systems as i always buy the 3pc's for one year package now they all have the same problem and the action center flag pops up telling me my (av) bitdefender is disabled but when i open it and the widget at bottom right it is running

    win 7 64bit 8gb ram

    crucial ssd

i have the latest bitdefender version available at least think i do https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2565249/bitdefender/bitversion.PNG

example right clicked >>> https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2565249/bitdefende...reeze.crash.PNG and it froze then crashed .... it does not always crash some times just freezes for a fair while sometimes just stops working and restarts

also when clicking on the customize in the notification area icons next to the time/connection ect everything freezes apart from the browsers they still work i have formatted my pc thinking it was corrupt OS but it turns out it is bitdefender total security 2013 i have run the diagnostic tool and retrieved the file as you have mentioned above would you like me to pm you the file ?

would like to resolve this soon as possible as i work from home on these systems

    thank you for your time

  • and this is what i mean about the action center >>> https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2565249/bitdefender/hmm.PNG

  • I have same problem...

  • I had the same problem, rebuilt all the software on my PC, and discovered the problem was with BitDefender. I had my Antivirus On-Access level set to "Aggressive". After setting that level back to "Normal" and restarting my PC, the problem went away. I have already submitted a trouble report to BitDefender. Please try resetting your Antivirus On-Access level to "Normal" and then restart your PC.

    Hello all,

A product update was recently released. Your build should be 16.28.0.1763 (please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Changelog:
