Download Manager Scanning Configuration

Hi - I just downloaded Bitdefender and want to make sure that it works with all my programs before registering. I am usinging a download manager (IDM - Internet Download manager) that has a feature to scan downloads and need to know how to use Bitdefender with this feature. Where would I find (i.e., folder and file name) for direct scanning? Thank You.

Thanks, I searched, and there was no item related to "bdc launcher," I also down loaded the documentation and there is no reference to "bdc launcher."

  • Hello :)

That tool developed by Cris is posted here:

Also, there is no need to configure that feature in your download manager because our product automatically scans all the files downloaded from the internet.

    Thank you!

Christian - Thanks for getting back to me. Is there a log or someway to confirm that a program that was download was scanned? Txs... Ronnie

  • Hello :)

All the files downloaded from the internet, no matter the protocol are filtered before they are saved to the HDD.

The only way to confirm is by activating some logging functions in the software, but this will create logs that have several GB in under 1 minute.

I can assure you that all the files are scanned.

    Thank you!
