Can't Connect W7 Laptop With Mac Desktop
It worked fine before upgrading to BD2013 I think; Windows Troubleshooting is useless other than to tell me Homegroup is being blocked by non-Microsoft firewall, presumably BD.
Setup is thus: Mac desktop connected directly to DSL modem via Ethernet cable. W7 64 bit home premium connects wirelessly to modem as part of homegroup.
I used to be able to stick extra Ethernet from Mac desktop into W7 laptop and it would appear under "Network" in W7 (I was never able to get the laptop to appear on the Mac's desktop).
Now it doesn't work, when I plug it in it does say there is a LAN connection but that's it.
The LAN connection does appear in BD FW control, I set it to Trusted and Home/Office but still the device never appears.
NB: I also began having problems around the time I installed a DirecTV to watch streaming video, under Network there does appear the "device" NDS PCShow if that could possibly be the problem.

Hello
A product update was released. Your build should be 16.24.0.1682(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
Changelog:

Hi
I already had the update but now when I attach the two computers via Ethernet the Mac desktop does appear on my W7 laptop but I am unable to connect (from either computer); I simply get told my login information is incorrect (I have the passwords for both computers obviously as they are both mine.)0 -
Hi I still can't connect…I get asked for the Network Password but no matter what I enter it's considered "incorrect"…

I think its a Windows issue, a Network setting issue....Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center >Advanced sharing settings and select "Turn Off password protected sharing" in the Password protected sharing option. And also check the option in the "My Computer > Organize > Folder and Search Options > View > Use Share Wizard.

Thanks, it actuallly turns out that I had altered the username and forgotten…it's working again.0 -
